Acivity Finder
Use the Activity Finder to join and queue for Expeditions, Outpost Rush, and more.
Earn daily bonuses for joining random, normal and mutated Expeditions through the Activity Finder.
Access the Activity Finder within Activities tab.
Battle Royale
Starting the Match
- You’ll begin with basic equipment: sword, shield, bow, and basic clothing
- You have 20-30 seconds in pre-game to run to your desired starting location
Core Objective
- Be the last player standing among 32 players
- Survive the closing ring of death
- Eliminate other players
- Match duration is approximately 20 minutes
Getting Equipment
- Loot chests throughout the map for better weapons and armor
- Defeat other players to claim their dropped equipment
- Higher tier loot can be found in more dangerous areas
Survival Tips
- Stay inside the ring of death to avoid taking damage
- The ring closes in 5 phases, each lasting 2-3 minutes
- Use jump pads for quick traversal
- Monitor the player count and ring timer on your HUD
- Look for power-ups across the map to gain advantages
Victory Conditions
- Last surviving player wins
- Players are ranked based on survival order
- Better rankings earn better rewards
Capture the Flag
Rules
- The team with the highest score wins when time is over.
- If teams are tied when time is up, a short sudden death overtime will immediately start.
- First to score during overtime wins, otherwise the match will end in a draw.
- In order to score, your team’s flag must be on/returned to its pedestal.
Power-Ups
There are 3 types of Power-ups scattered around the maps. Once collected, Power-ups will take time to respawn.
- Health: One time health gain.
- Attack Power: Increase damage output for a while.
- Speed: Increase run speed for a short time.
Jump Pads
There are various types of jump pads scattered throughout the maps. Jumg pads require the players to activate them by pressing [Space] while on the pads. Players will always jump forwards, but getting a running start will send you further than standing still.
Expeditions
Expeditions are cooperative adventures for 5 players which feature combat, puzzles, and challenging boss fights. Players work together as a group to overcome the challenges within Expeditions.
Expeditions range from level 25 to 65, but players of a higher level can always join lower level Expeditions.
Expeditions can be joined through the Activities Tab, the entrance portal in the world, or by selecting selecting the Expedition from the map.
Mutated Expeditions
Certain Expeditions become Mutated each week.
A Mutated Expedition has Mutations that make enemies more -dangerous and require you and your group to adjust your gear and playstyle to conquer the Expedition in return for more powerful rewards.
For example, if an Expedition has a Hellfire Mutation, the enemies will deal more Fire damage. However, you will likely receive gear with perks that defend against or deal more Fire damage in return.
Each Mutated Expedition has difficulty levels with progressively harder challenges and better rewards. Unlock each level by completing the one prior.
Find the weekly Mutated Expeditions.in the Activity Finder or by opening the map and finding the indicated Mutation entrances. Select the Mutated Expedition to see the active Mutations.
Outpost Rush
Capture Outposts
Capture outposts and slay the enemy to score points. First team to 1000 points wins!
Gathering Resources
Gather infused wood, ore, and hides to upgrade your outposts by building gates and siege weapons. Build a command post to gain powerful offensive and defensive boosts for your team.
Summon Monstrous Allies
Use summoning stones to summon powerful allies at summoning circles. Summon a bear by defeating the powerful Alpha Wolf or gain an ultra-powerful brute ally by defeating and closing the corrupted portal.
Slay the Boss
Baroness Hain is the ghost of a long dead noble that haunts the island. Slay her to gain a powerful buff that increases the defense of your team and freezes the enemy score!"
Selecting Roles
Many Activities, such as Expeditions, rely on effective group coordination. Entering Expeditions requires paying attention to player Roles.
The optimal group features a variety of roles including a Healer, a Tank, and 3 damage-dealing players (often referred to as DPS - or damage per second). This composition maximizes group play.
The matchmaking tool found in the Activity Finder allows you to choose your role and automatically find a group with the right composition.
Soul Trials
Soul Trial entrances are found throughout Aeternum, denoted by blue spinning triangles at their entrances. Soul Trials are solo boss challenges with unique rewards.
Some Trials are repeatable. Navigate to the Soul Trials section of the Activity Finder to learn about repeating unlocked Trials.
