Territories
Territories
Aeternum is divided into territories that are far more than different landscapes. Each region preserves a different layer of the island’s history: Ancient ruins, fallen kingdoms, pirate societies, imperial dynasties, settlements consumed by the Lost, strongholds of Corruption, and places reclaimed by the Angry Earth.
Because death is unreliable on Aeternum, history does not disappear normally. Civilizations from radically different eras can leave behind people, armies, ruins, traditions, and unfinished conflicts that continue to exist beside one another. Exploring the territories is therefore one of the best ways to understand the larger story of the Eternal Island.
Aeternum’s Territories
A once-hopeful forest darkened by undeath, failed institutions, and a terrible legacy buried beneath the trees.
Ancient Egyptian cities, Roman legions, Ancient glyphs, and buried powers make this desert a living archive of Aeternum.
Pirates, cursed doubloons, hidden treasure, and supernatural greed dominate this dangerous tropical coast.
The realm of Empress Zhou Taiying, where Dynasty tradition, Dragon Magic, and Corruption converge.
The former First Light, violently reshaped by Artemis, the Angry Earth, and the awakened Beast Lords.
An eternally autumnal heartland marked by Ancient ruins, Angry Earth power, and the Night of the Blue Flames.
A historical territory whose settlements and stories survive even though the land became the Elysian Wilds.
A frozen war frontier containing Corrupted strongholds, Ranger defenses, and the Ancient Empyrean Forge.
The cliffs where King Artorius founded his kingdom and where Aeternum’s Arthurian age rose and fell.
A rain-soaked frontier whose lore records settlers, sailors, scholars, smugglers, and the long emotional weight of immortality.
A hidden gothic kingdom of noble houses, rebellion, Upyr, curses, fragile memories, and the Tear of Gaea.
A drowned settlement region now dominated by the Siren Queen, her Song, and an organized society of the Lost.
A pirate-haunted coast where the Lost retain unsettling traces of identity, hierarchy, and old maritime rivalries.
Corruption’s northern stronghold, dominated by Myrkgard and central to Isabella’s rise and the Corrupted war.
A plague-ridden swamp of Ancient roads, failed wards, dangerous research, and the experiments of the Corpse Crone.
Fertile farms and deep woods layered over older traditions of Medea, the Wild Hunt, druids, and ancient natural power.
