Everfall
Everfall is an eternally autumnal territory near the heart of Aeternum. Its forests, farms, ruins, and settlements exist on the edge of a winter that never arrives, giving the region a sense of permanence that mirrors the island’s unnatural relationship with time and death.
One of the most important events in Everfall’s history is the Night of the Blue Flames. Human interference with the Shattered Obelisk released Azoth and produced extraordinary agricultural growth. The apparent blessing came with a cost: the resulting bounty eventually became tasteless, leaving the people of Everfall with an abundance they could not truly enjoy.
The territory also contains an important shrine of the Angry Earth and numerous traces of Ancient activity. Between the Shattered Obelisk, Ancient Guardians, failed settlements such as Daybreak, and the region’s cursed abundance, Everfall is a strong example of a recurring Aeternum theme: humans benefit from powers they do not understand, then live indefinitely with the consequences.
