Monarch's Bluffs
Monarch’s Bluffs is a rugged coastal territory of high cliffs, mines, farms, old fortifications, and the ruins of a once-proud kingdom. More than almost any other region, its identity is tied to the Arthurian history of Aeternum.
King Artorius came to the island in search of the legendary Avalon and founded his kingdom among these cliffs. His reign, the Round Table, the conflicts surrounding his knights, and the eventual fall of the High King became some of the defining events of the territory. Later stories preserve the remnants of that age alongside the lives of miners, farmers, settlers, and Lost who inherited the landscape.
The territory is therefore both a starting point and a graveyard for one of Aeternum’s greatest human kingdoms. Its ruined strongholds and scattered writings show the familiar pattern of the island: newcomers arrive with ambition, build something that appears permanent, and eventually discover that immortality does not protect a civilization from betrayal, Corruption, or collapse.
