Armoring
Armoring is the Crafting Trade Skill used to create wearable armor and bags. Because New World supports light, medium, and heavy equipment, Armoring draws heavily from cloth, leather, and metal and uses both the Forge and Outfitting Station depending on the recipe.

What Armoring Crafts
Armoring spans all three armor weights and therefore consumes materials from several independent resource chains. Heavy equipment leans heavily on metal, while lighter equipment makes greater use of leather and cloth. Many recipes still require secondary components from outside their dominant material family.
Bags are another important Armoring product, connecting the profession to inventory capacity and utility as well as combat equipment.
Progression
Armoring levels by crafting eligible equipment and related recipes. Higher profession levels unlock advanced crafts, while first-time recipes provide the First Craft Bonus for additional XP.
Modern endgame equipment should be documented separately from older Gear Score 600/700-era crafting advice. Nighthaven’s Gear Score 800 and Perk Charm systems changed how current equipment progression and customization should be understood.
Connected Trade Skills
Armoring relies heavily on Smelting, Leatherworking, and Weaving. Those refiners are supplied by Mining, Skinning, and Harvesting, making Armoring one of the clearest examples of the full Gather → Refine → Craft economy.
