What Cooking Crafts
Cooking combines ingredients from farms, herbs, wildlife, fish, provision containers, and other sources. The profession’s broad ingredient pool makes it one of the most interconnected Trade Skills in Aeternum.
Trade Skill foods are especially important because they can improve gathering or crafting-related performance, while attribute and recovery foods support combat builds and general adventuring.
Season 5 Rework
Cooking received a major progression redesign in Season 5. Recipe XP was increased, many recipe requirements were reorganized, lower-tier Gathering foods were consolidated, and Legendary Fish recipes were repositioned as the strongest tier of attribute-food progression.
The redesign also placed more emphasis on crafting a variety of recipes so players could benefit from the First Craft Bonus instead of leveling almost entirely through mass production of one item.
Progression
Cooking can be leveled to 250. Higher levels unlock stronger and more specialized meals, including the top Legendary Fish recipes at the final profession tier.
Connected Trade Skills
Harvesting supplies herbs, produce, and plant ingredients; Fishing supplies fish and aquatic ingredients; and Skinning provides meat and other creature resources. This makes Cooking a natural destination for materials gathered during ordinary exploration.
