Housing and Utility
Furnishing is closely tied to player housing. Decorative recipes allow players to customize homes, while storage furniture increases practical storage options and trophies provide gameplay bonuses when placed in an owned house.
Those trophy bonuses make Furnishing relevant even to players who have little interest in decorating. Combat, Gathering, and Crafting-focused trophies can all make housing part of broader character progression.
Musical Instruments
Better musical instruments are crafted through Furnishing. Instrument recipes and Music-related perks connect Furnishing directly to the Music Trade Skill, giving the profession an important role outside ordinary housing decoration.
Progression
Furnishing can be leveled to 250. It uses a particularly wide variety of materials, so profession progression benefits from strong access to Logging, Mining, Harvesting, Skinning, and multiple Refining professions.
Connected Trade Skills
Furnishing commonly consumes materials from Woodworking, Smelting, Weaving, Leatherworking, and Stonecutting. It is therefore one of the broadest material sinks in the crafting economy.
