Weaponsmithing
Weaponsmithing is the Crafting Trade Skill used to forge many of Aeternum’s melee weapons and shields. Weaponsmiths work primarily at a Forge, combining metal with wood, leather, special components, and other materials depending on the recipe.

What Weaponsmithing Crafts
Weaponsmithing focuses on forged weapon families and shield recipes. Even metal-heavy crafts frequently require secondary wooden or leather components, so efficient Weaponsmithing depends on more than Smelting alone.
Special weapon recipes can also require rare drops, Craft Mods, named components, or other profession-specific ingredients.
Progression
Weaponsmithing levels through eligible crafts at the Forge. Higher levels unlock advanced weapon recipes and profession opportunities, while the First Craft Bonus provides increased XP the first time a particular recipe is completed.
Modern equipment crafting should be evaluated using the Nighthaven-era Gear Score and perk systems. Older crafting guides describing previous Gear Score 600/700 workflows can still be useful historically, but should not automatically be treated as current rules.
Connected Trade Skills
Weaponsmithing relies heavily on Smelting and also uses materials from Woodworking and Leatherworking. Those resources originate from Mining, Logging, and Skinning.
