What Logging Provides
Wood is a fundamental crafting material. After being gathered, it is refined into timber and higher-tier planks used by Engineering, Weaponsmithing, Furnishing, and other recipes.
Logging also produces rare secondary materials from eligible trees. These drops can be important for specialized crafting, making high-level trees useful for more than their standard wood output.
Progression
Logging progression grants access to increasingly advanced tree types and contributes to resource tracking. At level 205, players can gather Runewood Trees, providing Runewood for the expansion-era refining tier.
Because trees are widespread across Aeternum, Logging is easy to train naturally while traveling, but higher-level progression becomes increasingly dependent on targeting valuable tree types and maintaining an efficient gathering route.
Improving Logging
A better Logging Axe can reduce gathering time and provide useful gathering perks. Logging can also benefit from profession equipment, food, trophies, Music buffs, and other effects that improve Gathering Speed, Gathering Yield, or Gathering Luck.
Connected Trade Skills
Logging feeds directly into Woodworking. Refined wood is then heavily used by Engineering, Weaponsmithing, and Furnishing.
